Dear Club Directors:
HPVBA wants to join you in expressing our discomfort and displeasure from
the event organizer's cancellation of the Spring Fling scheduled for this
weekend at our sports facility in Lakewood, NJ. As club director and
member of our volleyball community, you should be aware that HPVBA has gone
through a series of developments to better serve you since we opened our
doors on December 9, 2007. Throughout this period, our facility has hosted
many of our regional clubs and families. As you know, every one of those
events has been a huge success for our region and for our game.
Our goal has always been to provide a state-of-the-art volleyball facility,
and we have done everything with that in mind. In fact, we have been
continually improving our facility in not only meeting this goal, but also
in meeting the ever-increasing demands from multiple regions for rapid
expansion of our facility.
Throughout our efforts, we have never wavered
from our primary focus, which has consistently been on preserving the
safety and security of our children. The truth is that HPVBA, along with
many of our other facilities in NJ, operates under a series of strict
building codes enforced by local and state agencies designed to ensure that
ongoing operations are healthy, safe and secure.
Please note that HPVBA discussed the many obstacles we face with the event
organizers and provided them with an option of running 12 courts over this
coming weekend. However, rather than scale down, to our surprise these
same event organizers cancelled the event.
Nevertheless, as many of you
have seen, HPVBA has been fulfilling our commitment to you, and we want to
thank you for your continued support. As such, we would like you to
consider attending a Gala Volleyball Party here next weekend, the Memorial
Day Weekend First Annual Snap Sports Invitational on Saturday and Sunday
May 24th & 25th, so we can all say so long to a truly Great Season and
welcome our Summer in together!
We look forward to hosting you throughout
the rest of our schedule and trust that you will continue to sign up for
and participate in our upcoming tournaments.
