About the Founder of HPVBA:
In 1994, Coach Francisco Casado began his coaching career working for the Borinquen Coquis Volleyball Club for the 13-14 boys team that represented Puerto Rico at the Junior Olympics in San Jose, California where they won the silver medal. Additionally, he has coached at several clubs and amateur organizations in the 1990s, including a volunteer position with the Police Athletic League as an athletic instructor and volleyball coach. After an impressive record with The Keystone Region Volleyball Association during 2000-2002, Coach Casado was hired as the head volleyball coach for Georgian Court University’s volleyball program in 2003. Since 2003 Georgian Court University has improved steadily over the past 4 years, having gone from 4-20 overall in 2002 to 27-8 overal in 2007l, and 18-0 in conference play at the NCAA/CACC. Winning the conference Championships back to back in 2006 and 2007 and earning the pretigious Coach Of The Year Award in 2007 for the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference . Since the win, Georgian Court advanced to the NCAA Division II Regional Tournament twice. This monumental accomplishment was the first for Georgian Court University at the NCAA level. Georgian Court had permitted volleyball as an intercollegiate sport only after 2002 under Coach Casado’s guidance making it a very successful program.
With the support of several parents and local community leaders, Coach Francisco Casado founded the The Jersey Shore Volleyball Club (JSVBC) in 2002. The club was organized as a member of the Garden Empire Volleyball Association and United State Volleyball Association (USVA), which was the first USVA youth program to evolve in the Jersey Shore area. Furthermore, these and many other organizations have applauded and learned from the accomplished leaders of the JSVBC. In recent years, JSVBC players have consistently thrived to the top of The New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association (NJSIAA), National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and are ranked amongst the state and national leaders in volleyball.
In December 9, 2007 The High Performance Volleyball Academy, a life long dream of Casado, was made possible thanks to the effort of friends and family. HPVBA is the largest volleyball center in the entire US northeast and since the grand opening over 14,000 athletes had play here and over 120,000 people have crossed its doors.
HPVBA if moving forward and working to develop the facility to serve you better.
